Time out

Hi everyone, I have been out of action for two days with a cold. I was planning to take a blog break next week with the long weekend and a one week school holiday coming up, but have decided to start it now, since I am still not feeling great and have not touched my computer. Keep well!

Feelin' blue

I interpreted the feelin' blue challenge at Sunday Postcard Art as a colour challenge and not an emotional one, but looking at this now these giant asters do look a bit sad ;-)

The printed word

As much as I love the convenience of reading daily news online, there is nothing like taking the Saturday newspaper and reading it from front to back. Don't get me started on the old fashioned typewriter - I am going to get myself one of those one day and type on it everyday - love the sound and the smell of the ink ribbon! My entry for the printed word challenge at Three Muses.

Orange blossom

I decided to use this black and white image from the Graphics Fairy for the fruit challenge at Sunday Postcard Art , while I was colouring it, I couldn't stop thinking about a summer cocktail called Orange blossom - here is the recipe: Shake up 1 part gin with 1 part Bianco vermouth and 1 part unsweetened orange juice. Pour over some ice cubes and decorate with a slice of orange - try it, it is delicious!

Back to Nature

I've been busy the last few days with Christening invitations for my little niece, subsequently I did not spend a lot of time on this one, nevertheless here is my entry for the Three Muses challenge. With Spring in the air that is exactly what I want to do. . . . . . get out of the glass cloche - back to nature!

The crown governs the shoe . . . . or is it the other way around? I am linking to Brag Monday, the crown and ornate oval frame are from the Graphics Fairy. Karen has an amazing collection of crown images - check it out!

Half and half

I chose the perfect background, chose the perfect man . . . . . . and then I cut him in half - because I needed more than one man! ;-) No need to be alarmed . . . . it is only my entry for the vintage men challenge at Theme Thursday
