I heart

Last night I tried to catch up on some of my favourite blogs. I literally felt like a kid in a candy store when I visited the Graphics Fairy. Karen posted the most beautiful images during December and January, one of which was this pretty heart with the rose and butterfly! The birdie is also a favourite from Karen's blog - linking to Brag Monday.

Owl's serenade

I thought the Three Muses challenge this week was birds, and when I checked just now, it says exotic bird, well this is my entry for the challenge and I do think owls are very special birds, which makes them exotix, right? :-)

Leopard spots and roses

When I saw the pink and brown challenge over at Theme Thursday, my first thought was hot chocolate and fluffy pink marshmallows- yum!!! I love the rich chocolate brown script of this card and I thought it pairs so well with the dusky pink roses - I decided on the leopard spots as a background for that touch of whimsy.

Chocolate cake

I have baked many cakes, but this is my first digital one, and might I add - I think it is very pretty ;-) My first attempt at making a vector image - the cake. My entry for the chocolate challenge over at Take a Word. What are you waiting for - get a plate, cut a slice and tuck in!

Friday freebie - mother's day card and envelope

I designed this card for mother's day, but you can pretty much use it for any occasion. Print on cardstock to make it nice and sturdy. You can download it here -  I hope my instructions are clear ;-) Have a great weekend! I used this beautiful french typography and this stunning french invoice from the Graphics Fairy for the envelope background. Bye Bye Blackbird . . .

I experimented with some sepia filters to give this piece a bit of a dark feel. I love how the red roses contrasts with the black! My entry for the Three Muses challenge, Blackbird.
