Friday freebie - Calendar February
I have to tell you that I am so overwhelmed by the fact that I have more than 3 followers, when I started my blog I hoped that at least my 3 best friends would join :) I want to thank all of you for taking the time to visit and leave kind words - I really appreciate it! Here is your Feb calendar - I also made one without the valentine touch, they are both on the pdf. Have a great weekend!

Ballerina on a sheep
I am so happy to be back after a hectic month. You probably think this is a very odd collage, but if you could have a peek into my mind right now, you would see all kind of odd things ;) The golden frame/scroll from Graphics Fairy, Karen has so many of these beauties on her blog - if you haven't visited her blog yet, please do, but don't blame me if you become obsessed! Blushing bride
The background and the frame which is from this apothecary label are both from Graphics Fairy. This is my entry for the wedding challenge over at Take a Word and also linking to Brag Monday. Hope you have a great Monday!

Steampunkerie
I really like this definition of Steampunk - "it is a retro-futuristic neo-Victorian sensibility that is being embraced by fiction, it is ornate and vibrant, and intricate - it believes that functional items can and should be beautiful" I created a magazine cover as my entry for the Three Muses steampunkerie challenge.

Green
Oh . . . . how I love green, there is just something about it - it makes me feel alive! My entry for the Take a Word green challenge. Happy St Patrick's day to all my Irish friends!

Cock-a-doodle-doo . . .
Apparently the idea of a rooster only crowing at the break of dawn is more romantic than real - as I am told that a rooster can and will crow at any time of the day! I don't have a rooster, so I cannot vouch for this, so please leave a comment if you have a rooster and let us know ;-) All the images used in this design are from the graphics fairy - linking to Brag Monday.

Fairy door
Can you see the fairy hiding behind the door, and the little elve behind the bunny - how about the leprechaun between the grass? Well neither can I, but it sure is nice to imagine it . . . do you believe in fairies? My entry for Take a Word door challenge

A Bridal Affair
Hope you had a great weekend, mine was very busy and I struggled a little bit with inspiration for my designs, somehow this bride silhouette just caught my eye - I was tempted to add flowers or a birdie, but sometimes keeping it simple just works - don't you think? The silhouette and background from Graphics Fairy - linking to Brag Monday.

Crow
I really like this saying about planting seeds - “One for blackbird, one for the crow, one for the cutworm, and one to grow.” My entry for the blackbird challenge at Take a Word

Black and white
I was very tempted to add a pop of colour to this design, but as you can see I resisted. What a great challenge! My entry for Three Muses black and white theme.

Lavender
Of course I had to start with something green for a botanical theme ;-) - so I picked this frame and just knew that I had to use lavender with it. Lavender must be one my favourite plants/flowers - there is a lavender hedge that frames the pathway to my front door and I just love smelling and seeing it before entering the house. This is my entry for the botanical challenge at Take a Word.

Butterflies
I suppose I could enter most of my designs for the Take a word butterflies challenge - since I use butterflies all the time, but this one though is hot off the press ;-) I just love the burnt orange - it makes me happy!!!

Guns 'n roses
I am not 100% back with all guns blazing, but I have something to share. I wanted to use this gun since the first time I saw it over at the Graphics Fairy - now that could sound strange if you were not looking at the picture ;-)

I am happy to report that my daughter is doing very well after her surgery, but we are still taking this week off to fully recover, also enjoying the last week of school holiday and the World cup soccer.

Violet - green
When in doubt, use green - that's my motto! . . .and then combine it with purple ;-) I googled "violet-green" this morning and discovered that it is the name of a beautiful small North American swallow, had I known this last night that little swallow would have been sitting right there on the frame. I am entering this for Theme Thursday's challenge this week - the colour green.

The Young Victoria
Karen from the graphics fairy posted this black and white ornate frame with an image of queen Victoria some time ago, and I immediately thought of using it with this picture of a young queen Victoria, which I think is quite a beautiful picture. I added the roses for a pop of colour, I only found out today the queen Victoria rose is a mauve coloured rose. I have not seen the movie yet, hopefully some time soon.

My Creative space - Where Bloggers Create
Time for a blog party - hi everyone, welcome to my creative space. This is really just a picture of my desk, because that's all there is. My desk occupies a corner in the dining room and this is where I spend most evenings creating digital collages. I need the big clock to know what time it is - because as you know, time flies when you're having fun ;-) When I feel like scrapbooking or making a card, the dining room table becomes my work area - what a mess!!! I added the frame to spruce up my picture, since it looked a little ordinary ;-) Thank you for taking the time to visit.
