Friday freebie - Kaapstad scroll

I cropped this from one of the other sides of the Dutch medicine tin that I made the medicine label freebie from a few weeks ago, the translation: Apothecaries in the greater Cape Town. I changed the colour for fun - of course to green ;-) you can find your free copy here. Hope you have a fun filled weekend!

Snow Queen

My inspiration for this design was the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen: " Kay's grandmother tells the children about the Snow Queen, who is ruler over the snowflakes, that look like bees — that is why they are called "snow bees." As bees have a queen, so do the snow bees, and she is seen where the snowflakes cluster the most." My entry for the winter challenge at Theme Thursday.
I am still in time to sneak this one in for Brag Monday - the crown, the bees and the background are from Graphics Fairy.

Coulrophobia

. . . . . is an abnormal or exaggerated fear of clowns, which I imagine can be a real fear if a clown looks like this ;-) I played around with a few filters to create the eery look - and made a few versions - my daughter chose this one as the scariest of them all. My entry for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge evil clowns.

Friday freebie - Medicine label

My friend Andrea scanned this image from a Dutch medicine tin that she inherited from her grandmother. I  cleaned it up a little, it had a few scratches - and made this label. Here is the translation for those of you who do not speak Dutch:  "Medicine for Ostrich, Horses, Cattle, Sheep etc. Sold by all traders" Click here for your free copy of the label.
