Friday freebie - gingham heart valentine card

Lavender

Of course I had to start with something green for a botanical theme ;-) - so I picked this frame and just knew that I had to use lavender with it. Lavender must be one my favourite plants/flowers - there is a lavender hedge that frames the pathway to my front door and I just love smelling and seeing it before entering the house. This is my entry for the botanical challenge at Take a Word.

Love

"Those who have love, have wealth beyond measure" - my fortune cookie saying according to my birth date. I was hoping for - "you are going to inherit a small fortune" ;-) but hey who needs a small fortune when you already have wealth beyond measure? This is my love entry for Theme Thursday.

Pop Art

I really love Andy Warhol's style and bold use of colour - my artist of choice for the Three Muses challenge. I had so much fun transforming this red and yellow vintage advertisement.

Friday freebie- valentine stamp 1

With valentine's day around the corner, here is the first of a few heart stamps that I made. This was so much fun - I scanned an orange mesh bag and created a few stamps with it, using different brushes. Click here for your free copy. Have a great weekend!

Butterflies

I suppose I could enter most of my designs for the Take a word butterflies challenge -  since I use butterflies all the time, but this one though is hot off the press ;-) I just love the burnt orange - it makes me happy!!!

Daffodils

I am always so excited to see the first daffodil bloom in my garden and in the words of William Wordsworth - "then my heart with pleasure fills, and dances with the daffodils" So when I saw the Spring challenge at Theme Thursday, my first thought was daffodils. The daffodil image is a black and white drawing from Graphics Fairy - I just love to experiment with various techniques to add colour to these drawings.

Must love cats

Even though I am allergic to cats, I simply love them - just look at that adorable face! My entry for the nature's creatures challenge at Three Muses.

The sweet smell of lilac

Don't you just love the smell of lilac? There is something so romantic about a vintage perfume bottle with an atomizer - I wouldn't mind a whole collection of those! I am linking to Brag Monday, the perfume card, background and perfume bottle are courtesy of Graphics Fairy.

New Beginnings
