Gathering fish

I love words and especially learning new ones -  did you know that a yaffle was an armful of dried or nearly dried salt fish - the amount that could be comfortably carried under one arm. It was also used as a verb, as in to take up an armful of fish. It also had a more general usage as a verb, referring to the work of spreading, gathering and piling fish. My entry for Three Muses fish challenge

Does that mean you can yaffle a yaffle? At any rate, this is a beautiful card. Well done! Thanks for sharing it with us at Three Muses.

Hmm, interesting word, but I don't think I'd want to carry an armload of dried fish. :) Not unless I looked as lovely as your lady here does, of course.

I love the whimsicality of your picture. The idea of gathering fish is, indeed, an original one and I love it. The picture is wonderful.
Thanks for taking part in the challenge this week.
