Haute couture . . .

. . . is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. Therefore I consider myself a capable seamstress, having digitally sewn this dress with extreme attention to detail with time consuming, hand executed techniques from two different dresses ;-) The antique wire dress form, the background and the flowers are from the Graphics Fairy - linking to Brag Monday.

Vintage

Tricycles, bicycles and old reading glasses, thimbles and inkpots and antique brushes, rusty old keys and golden birdcages, dress forms and old scales and silver cutlery . . . .  these are a few of my favourite things. My entry for Take a Word vintage challenge.

Odd bird

This magnificent bird is called PeaCouturea and is a very rare species ;-) It is my entry for the odd bird challenge at Three Muses.

Fashion

This was the image provided for Collage Obsession's challenge this week, my first thought was to only use the lady in the white dress. Halfway through my design I decided to give the lady in black with the shock and horror expression, something to be shocked about ;-)

Fit for a princess

I love to experiment with this dress form. During the middle ages, the royalty of Europe had dress forms made with their exact measurements so that their dressmakers could make clothes for them without bothering them.

Shades of green

I wish I had a dress form just like this one, with or without the owl. I spotted an owl in our garden some time ago and couldn't stop looking at it - so gorgeous!
