Cock-a-doodle-doo . . .

Apparently the idea of a rooster only crowing at the break of dawn is more romantic than real - as I am told that a rooster can and will crow at any time of the day!  I don't have a rooster, so I cannot vouch for this, so please leave a comment if you have a rooster and let us know ;-) All the images used in this design are from the graphics fairy - linking to Brag Monday.

Time travel

A Bridal Affair

Hope you had a great weekend, mine was very busy and I struggled a little bit with inspiration for my designs, somehow this bride silhouette just caught my eye -  I was tempted to add flowers or a birdie, but sometimes keeping it simple just works - don't you think? Romance

Historians believe that the actual English word romance developed from a vernacular dialect within the French language meaning "verse narrative" - referring to the style of speech, writing, and artistic talents within elite classes. The word was originally an adverb of the Latin origin Romanicus, meaning "of the Roman style" The connecting notion is that European medieval vernacular tales were usually about chivalric adventure, not combining the idea of love until late into the seventeenth century. I am not sure whether these two are in love, but it sure looks like a romance is developing ;-) My entry for Take a Word romance challenge.

Lavender

Of course I had to start with something green for a botanical theme ;-) - so I picked this frame and just knew that I had to use lavender with it. Lavender must be one my favourite plants/flowers - there is a lavender hedge that frames the pathway to my front door and I just love smelling and seeing it before entering the house. This is my entry for the botanical challenge at Take a Word.

Love

"Those who have love, have wealth beyond measure" - my fortune cookie saying according to my birth date. I was hoping for - "you are going to inherit a small fortune" ;-) but hey who needs a small fortune when you already have wealth beyond measure? This is my love entry for Theme Thursday.

Butterflies

I suppose I could enter most of my designs for the Take a word butterflies challenge -  since I use butterflies all the time, but this one though is hot off the press ;-) I just love the burnt orange - it makes me happy!!!

Must love cats

Lavender & Lime

Oh . . . how I enjoyed the  favourite colour combo challenge from Theme Thursday! I just love the combination of these two colours!
