The fox and the hound

A collage of some of my favourite things, I find it difficult to express in words my love for owls - aren't they just the most wonderful creatures. Lately I am fascinated with foxes, and don't get me started on my forever love for roses and shades of green and pink and vintage labels, postcards, birdcages . . . you get the picture :)

Two butterflies

It is my twentieth wedding anniversary today and it seems very unreal and great at the same time! I was tempted to post a picture of the happy couple 20 years ago, but decided against it :) So here is a couple of butterflies,  my entry for Three muses couples challenge today.

Ballerina on a sheep

I am so happy to be back after a hectic month. You probably think this is a very odd collage, but if you could have a peek into my mind right now, you would see all kind of odd things ;) The golden frame/scroll from Graphics Fairy, Karen has so many of these beauties on her blog - if you haven't visited her blog yet, please do, but don't blame me if you become obsessed! Friday freebie - vintage postcard 1

I've been rummaging through old photographs lately, and found two vintage postcards - my grandma Kittie gave it to me when I was probably 13 or so? I never wanted to use it because it was so pretty! Here's the first one - just click on the picture and right click to download. Oh . . .  and I removed the cigarette from his hand - never  liked that ;-) - have fun!

Postcard to Japan

I have two very dear friends from Japan, who have taught me so much about Japanese culture and also brought me lovely gifts, my favourite being beautiful paper! I actually wanted to use a piece of rice paper as background on which my friend Yuka wrote my name in Japanese, but could not find it last night - much to my dismay! So here is my entry for the Oriental challenge over at Three Muses today.

Love is in the air

Love is in the air everywhere I look around, love is in the air every sight and every sound, and I don't know if I'm being foolish, don't know if I'm being wise. But it's something that I must believe in, and it's there when I look in your eyes . . . . my entry for the whimsical, quirky, humorous challenge at Three Muses this week. A pumpkin in the cage . . . .

. . . .  is worth two on the vine ;-)  I really don't have a fitting title or story for this one, except that I've had this image in my head for quite some time and had to get it out! In retrospect I could have used a crow on the cage to give it more of a halloween feel maybe? Linking to Brag Monday -  the beautiful postard, the cage and the pumpkin are courtesy of the wonderful Graphics Fairy!
