Latin for "fast foot", mainly used as a collective term for the different forerunners of the monowheel, the bicycle, the dicycle, the tricycle and the quadcycle that were developed between 1817 and 1880. My entry for Three Muses wheel challenge.
This is such an interesting card, and a really nice addition to our collection of wheels this week. Well done! Thanks so much for joining our challenge. Do come back!
Yes, I know these bicycles as "Penny Farthings" too - penny for the large wheel and fathing for the small one. What a delightful illustration of this week's theme. I love it.
