I was a little obsessed with sewing over the weekend, after I spent most of the weekend behind my sewing machine and eventually returned to my computer last night - no wonder this is what I came up with! All you need is some fabric, a pattern, sewing machine and some good quality thread  . . . . what are you waiting for - start sewing!!! ;-) I am talking to myself - so many things I would like to sew, but between my sewing machine bailing out on me and finding time between making collages and what not - I just never get to it.  The spool advertisement and the sewing machine are both from Graphics Fairy - linking to Brag Monday.

Friday freebie - vintage measuring tape

I wanted a vintage measuring tape, and couldn't find one - so I decided to take a new one and make it look old. First I soaked it in Rooibos tea for a day, but it didn't really have the desired effect - ended up using distressing ink to give it that vintage feel. This is a piece of it, but I have to admit for this version there was a little bit of digital enhancing involved and actually what I would like the real one to look like ;-)  Have fun!
